The purpose of any approach to grain processing is to interrupt open the outer hull and/or seed coat as a way to expose the interior in the kernel to bacterial fermentation. Even so, best processing is just not constantly straightforward to attain. If grain is under-processed, digestibility is less than best, when above-processed grain can have an
